Fanfare Is My Favorite Part

Original song lyrics by Chrome Dome Mike Kimbro

Structure scheme:  Accent points align for all 3 verses.

Consider reading along to my Spoken Verse Performance.

VERSE 1

It’s punctuation.

It’s salutation.

And, yes indeed,

It’s stimulation

What a song needs to climb the charts.

Fanfare is my favorite part.

VERSE 2

No, not the intro.

No, not the outro.

When sung, always,

In high soprano.

What a song needs to climb the charts.

Fanfare is my favorite part.

BRIDGE 1

A highlight,

Of the musical kind.

Shining bright,

As when planets align.

But they don't sound right,

When they're not intertwined.

For a song to top the charts:

Fanfare is my favorite part.

BRIDGE 2

Obviously, fanfares are the subject.

Hands down, the best part of a song.     [ Fanfare examples:  #1#2 & #3 & #4 & #5 ]

But I needed a rhyme,

Before I ran out of time.

Look man, it's not a crime.

Who cares if the lyrics are wrong.

VERSE 3

Not in the chorus.

Not in the verses.

Hits hard, just like,

The strongest forces.

What a song needs to climb the charts.

Fanfare is my favorite part.

The End.
