Grow Out Your Bangs [Part 1 of my Female Trilogy]
An original poem by Chrome Dome Mike Kimbro
Consider reading along to my Spoken Verse Performance.
VERSE 1
One day, without warning,
My girl began to overheat,
Because a vow had not been made.
She was practically baring her fangs.
VERSE 2
I'm so sorry my darling,
Yes, I've been dragging my feet.
But our bliss would not be delayed,
If only you'd grow out your bangs.
CHORUS
Don't tell me it's not necessary,
That it be there above your eyes.
Cause a furry forehead accessory.
Is what makes my passion rise.
So come on baby,
Grow out your bangs.
Verse 3
She thought over my report,
About our relationship problem.
"What length should bangs be worn,
Before you are truly aroused?"
VERSE 4
If you're bangs are so short,
That you can't even blow 'em,
Like [Natalie] Imbruglia does in “Torn”,
Just make sure they're down to your eye brows.
CHORUS
Don't tell me it's not necessary,
That it be there above your eyes.
Cause a furry forehead accessory.
Is what makes my passion rise.
So come on baby,
Grow out your bangs.
VERSE 5
Then I applied a lesson learned,
From the lobby for guns and rifles.
The time may not be right to discuss,
Such a controversial topic.
But as soon as I returned,
My lover gave me an eyeful.
Those beautiful bangs stopped the fuss.
I can't help that I find them erotic.
CHORUS
Don't tell me it's not necessary,
That it be there above your eyes.
Cause a furry forehead accessory.
Is what makes my passion rise.
So come on baby,
Grow out your bangs.
BRIDGE
If I were king,
If would be forbidden,
That anyone or anything,
Let their bangs be hidden.
But two exceptions are fair.
The first is when it clashes,
With other facial hair,
Like Tom Selleck mustaches.
And I wouldn't force,
This law of aesthetics,
On the baldies. Of course,
Since they can't fight genetics.
CHORUS
Don't tell me it's not necessary,
That it be there above your eyes.
Cause a furry forehead accessory.
Is what makes my passion rise.
So come on baby,
Grow out your bangs.
VERSE 7
Why else should you grow bangs?
1. To hide a Frankenstein forehead.
2. So that your acne will not show.
3. To conceal the rows of wrinkles.
VERSE 8
But as you let your hair hang,
Be it brunette, black, blonde, or red.
You can’t let bangs drop so low,
That your eyes no longer twinkle.
