THE KING OF COMPENSATION

A poem by Chrome Dome Mike Kimbro

Structure:  Accent points align, somewhat, for the verses.

VERSE 1

Compensation!

To some, it's a dirty word.

Compensation!

But for me, it's the path that's preferred.

To a woman's heart,

Or any other part,

Which, with a Bentley, can be stirred.

There's no doubt, that's why I'm called...

The King of Compensation.

BRIDGE #1

When your ride is d’bomb

It’s hard to be humble.

And go through life with your head bowed.

So just be cool and calm.

Finding a mate is no trouble,

When, with such a beauty, you’re endowed.

VERSE 2

Admiration.

For moi, cause I've got the toys.

Stimulation.

Cause my ride, has the vibe she enjoys.

Some guys feel the need to compete.

On the bay, in the air, and on the street.

But, when your ride is awful sweet.

You can slow down and still be...

The King of Compensation.

BRIDGE #2

I’m sure that you’ve noticed

Before a relationship can proceed,

Sometime during the second date,

You have to discuss your 'ex'.

On my failings I stay focused.

Yeah, I’m very careful, indeed,

To never put down or berate,

Because attitude can perplex.

It’s like…”What put on the stress,

Was all of my tennis playing.

She couldn’t take any more.”

And I show remorse, of course.

Then it’s her turn to confess,

And she starts off by saying,

Her last beau was 6’ 4”,

A Marine, and hung like a horse.

Now there once was a time,

I’d have reassessed my chances,

Hearing her speak of such a penis.

But with a speed boat that’s prime,

Such talk won't dissuade my advances.

And his wang doesn’t come between us.

VERSE 3

Compensation!

So what, she's a perfect 10.

Compensation!

So you're not.  Lucky you've got an 'in'.

If you took the time to compensate,

Your love story will turn out great,

Then, claim the title: Potentate!

So my friend, go on and be...

The King of Compensation.

THE END
