Two Percent Pure [Part 3 of My Impeachment Trilogy]
An original poem by Chrome Dome Mike Kimbro
Consider reading along to my Spoken Verse Performance.
VERSE 1
The winter was cold back in 2020,
But the senate floor then was even colder.
Our Leader held up Ukrainian money,
So Democrats decided to be bolder.
VERSE 2
Since our President had been such a stinker,
The case made for impeachment was strong.
But the Senate swallowed, hook, line and sinker,
A theory stating Trump could do no wrong,
If his intentions were 2 percent pure.
CHORUS
Two percent pure.
It don't matter that he did it.
Two percent pure.
That's how he got acquitted.
It's not like he could plead ignorance,
Since Mueller's talk was just the day before.
On a conference call, his New York arrogance,
Was at it's peak! Yeah, he did an encore.
But his intentions were 2 percent pure.
VERSE 3
True, the defense's argument was decried,
Until it's silver lining came into view.
Now that Law and Order has been simplified,
Attorneys have a whole lot less to do.
Unless intentions aren't 2 percent pure.
CHORUS
Two percent pure.
It don't matter if you did it.
Two percent pure.
Hey, you're gonna get acquitted.
When faced with extreme belligerence,
Go on and punch 'em in the nose.
You won't even need to hide evidence,
From the authorities, once you disclose:
That your intentions were 2 percent pure.
The End
