Whistleblowing 101                 [Part 2 of My Impeachment Trilogy]

VERSE 1

Back in the day, on every college campus,

Human Sexuality was a popular course.

Extra credit earned at Colgate and Kansas,

To grasp the human condition, of course.

VERSE 2

But now erotica is everywhere,

So that's one class that coeds don't have to take.

Colleges are taking steps to prepare,

An elective which, I'd assume, could be cake.

CHORUS

So when planning your class schedule,

Include a course that might be fun.

Here's one that's also quite essential:

Whistleblowing 101.

VERSE 3

Of use to all groups, engaged in battle.

And it defines 'multidisciplinary'.

Teaching members the right way to tattle,

Whether an accountant, spy, or missionary.

VERSE 4

That's right, sometimes even gods misbehave.

And why not, when believers are dismissal.

But as every prophet is spinning in the grave,

Someone breaths in deep, and blows a whistle.

CHORUS

So when planning your class schedule,

Include a course that might be fun.

Here's one that's also quite essential:

Whistle Blowing 101.

VERSE 5

Starting next year, it's a requirement,

For a degree in political science,

But we hope to get to retirement,

And never face the need to break our silence.

VERSE 6

Like ethics and existentialism,

This course will be placed under Philosophy.

But since it's used to combat despotism,

It's professors could achieve celebrity.

VERSE 7

After that, Whistle Blowing Department chairs,

Will attempt to rope you into a major.

But, more than a minor,

Even in our present state of affairs,

Will do more harm than good, I would wager.

VERSE 8

You might need a PhD in Whistle Blowing,

To be considered for many top careers.

So note the top degree schools are bestowing,

And plan to study hard for many years.

VERSE 9

To parents:  As you celebrate the joys,

Which go along with being empty nesters.

Know that, likely, your long gone girls and boys,

Will learn to safeguard freedom and investors.

CHORUS

So when planning your class schedule,

Include a course that might be fun.

Here's one that's also quite essential:

Whistleblowing 101.

VERSE 10

Today's whistleblower is an artist.

And with praise and/or bullets he'll be showered.

Trump's first AG is laughing the hardest.

Jeff's not surprised that the Barr could be lowered.

VERSE 11

Ukraine's government is also a wreck,

So what Zelensky heard from Trump wasn't wooing:

Go put a noose around Joe Biden's neck,

And implicate The Ukraine in wrong doing.

VERSE 12

Sure, they'll say it was a victimless crime,

And that The Donald had never been nicer.

Will his defense team be Washington's prime,

Or stooges like The Mooch and Sean Spicer?

VERSE 13

While disclosing names is strictly forbidden,

The New York Times has a way around that.

They use code, to keep identities hidden,

Like: "An actor who engaged in combat...

In Europe...against aliens...with Emily Blunt."

CHORUS

So when planning your class schedule,

Include a course that might be fun.

Here's one that's also quite essential:

Whistle blowing 101.
